01 Execution

How to do the Treadmill Run

  1. Stand on the side rails, start the belt at a walking speed, and step on once it is moving steadily.
  2. Build to your running speed in stages rather than jumping straight to the target pace.
  3. Run in the middle of the belt with the torso tall and the gaze forward, not down at the console.
  4. Let the arms swing freely instead of holding the rails, so the stride stays natural.
  5. Land under the hips with a quick cadence rather than reaching for the front of the belt.
  6. Slow the belt gradually at the end and walk for a minute before stepping off.
