How to do the Seated Calf Raise

  1. Sit on a bench or box with your feet flat and your knees bent to about 90 degrees.
  2. Rest a dumbbell vertically on each thigh, close to the knee.
  3. Hold the dumbbells steady with your hands and sit tall.
  4. Place the balls of your feet on a low block if you have one.
  5. Let your heels drop until the calves are fully stretched.
  6. Push through the balls of your feet, squeeze at the top and lower slowly.
